Improper Touch presents UG/NG 3 & 4:
UG/NG is back with a follow up to now-sought-after UGNG1&2, and like the debut release, the production is bass-driven and spartan-to-the- bone with just enough essence from then and now to keep us on a timeless trip. There’s always a challenge to making a musical cliche work but UGNG3 achieves just that with the familiar disco bass at the core, topped off with lagging keys and rhythm, evoking the amorphous period of dance music when the disco industry embraced the amateurism and avant-garde spirit of the downtown scene somewhere around Prince Street. UGNG4.1 and 4.2 are self-remix of an unreleased track featuring percussion and spoken words by friends in our community where 4.1 indulges in breakbeats (and....accordion?) and the other gets smokey deep w/ filter knob turned all the way down to 9 o’clock.
