Saucy Lady - Birds Of A Feather

Since she launched the Dippin' Records imprint three years ago, Saucy Lady has released numerous nuggets from Yukihiro Kanaseka aka Monolog. It's little surprise, then, to see the pair join forces for a first collaborative release on the imprint. What they've chosen to do is cover Billie Eilish number 'Birds of a Feather', with Saucy Lady's sweet and soulful vocals riding above a sample-rich street soul style groove rich in rolling funk breaks, flanged guitar licks and warming bass guitar. The pair's superb full vocal take (side A) comes backed with a DJ-friendly, hip-hop style 'Beatstrumental'. Fantastic stuff all told.
