Reagan Ruler - Limited Cuts 2

Berlin-based Mister Bear Records kicked off a new vinyl-only sub-series with a fine EP from fast-rising South African artist Reagan Ruler stepping up for the inaugural release. He is now back with more charming deep house from a classic US school, starting with 'Baby' which has a coy character thanks to the r&b vocal that runs through the smooth grooves. 'Let Me Be Close' is sprinkled with glistening percussion and a sweet groove that bumps gently, while 'Leave It Smokin' has another aching bedroom r&b vocal injecting it with an air of teenage romance. The same track gets a deeper flip and then 'Love Is All Around' has a more outward jazzy flair.
