Marc Decho - Forget The World
Marc Decho’s Forget the World is a psychedelic instrumental trio based in Toronto, Canada. The group is the brainchild of composer and electric bassist Marc Decho, a new arrival to the Toronto scene, also known for his work with legendary Afro-Cuban jazz pianist Miguel de Armas. The group performs original expansive music that straddles the line between '70s soul-jazz, alternative hip-hop, cinematic soundscapes, dreamy LA pop, UK Bruk, afro-brazilian, classical and experimental electronica. All in all, forging together a sound that is undeniably unique. Decho is joined alongside James Hill on Fender Rhodes and synthesizers and Marito Marques on drums, percussion and electric kalimbas. Mixing and mastering by multi-Grammy award winning engineer Helik Hadar (Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell). “Hopefully, my music inspires some kind of other awareness or consciousness—another world to escape to.” Marc Decho
