Gemini Jazz - Earth Dance

As Music and Power hits release number 15, the label serves up a big one from Ron Trent, who presents his Gemini Jazz project across two Longford, spiritually hypnotic tracks. Of course, the sis always how the main man rolls, but even for him these are strong: "Earth Dance" has a lush arrangement that jingles and jangles with streaming piano chords and trilling keys, languid baselines and lithe percussion. "Absolution" is a little deeper, with more cosmic jazz rays radiating from the core. This is soul music that is utterly stirring and intoxicating.
