Felipe Gordon - Sincopa Liquida EP

He might have a new album out on Shall Not Fade, but that won't stop prolific and acclaimed Colombian producer Felipe Gordon also serving up new 12" here for Fluid Funk. This one finds him in typically playful mood, with a wide sphere of reference colouring his tunes; there's a jazz-funk swing to opener 'Sincopa Liquida' that really gets you moving. 'Samplin' 'N Slappin' is then a loopy, filtered, disco tinged house jam, 'Evolving Textures' is jazzy broken beat with a super smooth and seductive Kai Alce remix and 'Obstuso' layers up shimmering piano over rubbery bass.
