Beatconductor - Goodbye Reworks

We don't think that the title of Beatconductor's latest edits and reworks EP is meant to suggest that he's bowing out (and we certainly hope he isn't). Instead, it's most likely a reference to the heart-aching, end-of-a-love affair lyrics at the heart of the tracks he's chosen to rework - and in some cases rebuild from scratch. Check first 'Neither One Of Us', where a poignant, echo-laden vocal from a soul classic rises above a head-nodding electronic groove and fuzzy analogue bass, before admiring the piano-laden, loved-up mid-to-late '80s house-not-house vibe of 'Simmer Down', which sounds like a rework of an old Whitney Houston gem. 'Simmer', meanwhile, is a boogie bass-sporting chunk of R&B re-cast as an 80s soul/disco fusion number.
