Anane - It Looks Like Love

Anane Vega has been in a rich vein of form of late, with 2025 single 'Let Me Be Your Fantasy' being followed by a headline-grabbing appearance on hubby Louie Vega's cover of 'Last Night a DJ Saved My Life'. Here she presents another cover, this time of a seductive and sensual disco classic written by Vincent Montana Jr and made famous by his band Goody Goody. Anane's take is underpinned by bouncy, Afro-house influenced beats and dirty bass, but otherwise sticks to the sultry, string-laden disco vibe. The accompanying remixes are decent, too. Anane joins forces with Christian Martini for a deep and dark 'warrior dub', before Mando Moor and Sirus Hood deliver a more rolling and tactile disco-house pass. Best of all though is Jamie 3:26's righteous disco dub.
